The best commission tracking for a HubSpot team depends on your plan. For a flat rate, a spreadsheet or a free calculator does the job. For pay on collection, tiers, splits, or clawbacks, you want a real tool. QuotaPath is the established choice on HubSpot, enterprise platforms suit bigger orgs, and Provikka is a newer option built for small teams. HubSpot itself does not do this, see can HubSpot calculate commissions.
What to look for
For a two to ten rep team, judge every option on four things:
- Your plan shape. Flat is easy. Pay on collection, tiers, splits, and clawbacks are where tools differ.
- HubSpot fit. It should read your deals, so you are not exporting by hand.
- Setup. You should not need an implementation project.
- Pricing for your size. A flat price beats a per-seat bill that grows with the team.
The options at a glance
| Option | Best for | HubSpot | Handles collection, tiers, splits | Setup | Pricing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spreadsheet | Flat plans, no budget | Manual export | No, breaks on the hard shapes | You build it | Free |
| QuotaPath | Teams of most sizes | Yes, on the marketplace | Yes | Self-serve, some effort | Subscription, per user |
| Enterprise tools (Spiff, CaptivateIQ, Everstage) | Larger sales orgs | Yes | Yes | Implementation | Quote, higher |
| Provikka | Small teams (2 to 10 reps) | Yes, HubSpot only | Yes, the focus | From an example or plain words | Flat price, unlimited users |

A note on each
Spreadsheet. Free, and fine for a flat rate on the close date. It falls apart on the harder plan shapes, eats hours per pay run, and reps do not trust a number they cannot follow.
QuotaPath. The commission tool with the most adoption on the HubSpot marketplace. It handles real plans and larger orgs well. For a small team the trade-off is cost and setup relative to how simple your plan may be.
Enterprise platforms. Spiff, CaptivateIQ, and Everstage are powerful, but they are built and priced for bigger sales orgs. For a small team they are usually more platform than the job needs.
Provikka. We are building Provikka for the gap this leaves: a small team on HubSpot with a real comp plan, at a flat price, set up in under an hour. It is early, and the waitlist is open.
How to choose
- If you pay a flat rate, start with a spreadsheet or the free commission calculator.
- If your plan has collection, tiers, splits, or clawbacks, you want a real tool.
- Match the tool to your size. A small team should not pay enterprise pricing or run an enterprise setup.
